Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and organised Management Accountant to work alongside and support our East Tamaki finance team on a fixed-term basis to help cover parental leave. This role is 32 hours per week, with the flexibility to work over 4 or 5 days. We are looking for someone who can start immediately, and the contract will run until 31st August.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing your own dedicated site accounts as well assist with the wider accounting and financial activities of IMG. Your key duties will include providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly profit and loss, balance sheet reports, and standing journals with commentary.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, support in fixed assets and tax-related materials.
  • Generate internal and external financial statements using Greentree.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of year-end and statutory accounts.
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of financial transactions, including GST and FBT returns.
  • Support auditing projects, improve financial processes, and assist the senior accountants with day-to-day management of our financial system (Greentree).

Experience and Attributes

  • At least 3 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in Greentree will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Possess a high level of personal responsibility and integrity.
